Changes to Google Search methods

The aim used to be to deliver the most relevant web-pages. Now it is to give equal importance to relevant Imagery. Just as web-pages are ranked by SEO practices, Imagery is ranked by Relevance and Quality.

These changes have come about because of Google's stated commitment to get behind mobile technology. Along with imagery, location is an ever increasing factor in the delivery of search results. The watch-words are Imagery, Location, Street View.

For relevance with business imagery, it is particularly important to have a Google Business Page, optimised and placed accurately in Google Maps - Street View. A virtual tour (walk inside) published to a business by a Trusted Photographer affords the highest quality, relevant imagery. Businesses with a published tour attract twice the amount of engagement as those without (quoted from Google's own website).
